Electro-Mechanical Actuator

The Electro-Mechanical Actuator is an Electromechanical Planetary Roller Screw Actuator with an integrated drive gear box, engineered to handle high dynamic and static loads in demanding defense applications. It supports a maximum dynamic compression load of 370 kN and a maximum static load of 310 kN in both compression and tension.

Featuring a 1600 mm stroke, a two-stage gear box with a total gear ratio of 20:1, and all-weather operational capability, the actuator delivers 65 mm/sec linear speed with backlash controlled to under 15 arc min. Built for longevity, it carries a minimum life expectation of 15 years at a 90% reliability factor.

The unit is constructed from premium ST 52 steel for both its inner and outer tubes, providing the necessary rigidity to manage its 2758mm to 4350mm operational range. Designed for seamless integration, it features a trunnion mounting type and clevis end fittings, backed by a specialized 6-point lubrication system. This robust mechanical architecture enables consistent performance in extreme climates, withstanding temperatures as low as -30°C and handling rapid transient tensile loads of up to 150 kN.
