Elevation Actuator
The Elevation Actuator is an Electromechanical Planetary Roller Screw Actuator with an integrated drive gear box, built to sustain a maximum static load of 163 kN (single actuator) and a mean load of 97.3 kN. It delivers a 1470 mm stroke with a lead accuracy of G5.
The actuator supports two drive paths: through the Main Motor with a total gear ratio of 7:1, and through the PAHM Motor with a total gear ratio of 92:1. It is rated for all-weather operation with a minimum life expectation of 20 years at 90% reliability factor.
Designed for seamless mechanical integration, the system utilizes a trunnion mounting configuration with clevis end fittings. It features a sophisticated 6-point lubrication system—with 4 points on the actuator ram and 2 on the gear box—using long-time PD 00 lubricant to ensure sustained performance. With an overall efficiency of 75% and the capability for 30 minutes of continuous operation, the actuator is engineered to endure 95% relative humidity and temperatures as low as -20°C, making it a reliable solution for high-duty defense platform elevation.
