Linear Electro-Mechanical Actuator
The Linear Electro-Mechanical Actuator is a high-precision positioning system driven by a permanent magnet BLDC motor. This advanced drive unit features integrated Hall sensors with 120-degree placement and a motor resistance of ≤ 0.7 Ohm, ensuring smooth and responsive motion. The transmission is handled by a premium Stainless Steel Ball lead screw or an optional Roller screw configuration, with a fine screw lead of ≤ 2 mm for micron-level linear accuracy.
For critical positional awareness, the system utilizes a sophisticated 6-wire LVDT sensor providing feedback across a ±25mm stroke range with a sensitivity of 9mV/V/mm. The mechanical architecture is reinforced by Barden-make angular contact bearings and features an internal, non-jamming soft stop mechanism utilizing specialized disk springs. This robust internal assembly is designed to maintain extreme calibration stability under high dynamic stress.
Operating at a total assembly weight of ≤ 1.7 kg, the actuator is designed for seamless integration via a body-mounted interface and FRANKENJURA rod ends. Electrical connectivity is managed through a ruggedized D38999/26WD19PN pigtail connector, supporting mission durations of up to 80 minutes. The system is controlled by an external servo unit operating at a 20 kHz switching frequency with a defined current limit of -8 to 9 Amp.
